I'm a UX leader, evangelist and leadership coach with over 20 years of consulting, in-house design, and team leadership experience. I've driven the experience strategy and design for startups and Fortune 500 organizations, and I actively mentor, train, and teach.
I'm also an experienced facilitator, moderator, panelist and speaker, and the founder & host of the popular UX Cake podcast, a podcast focused on topics that help UX pros become more effective in their work and careers.
My passion is coachingMy transition to leadership coaching with individuals and teams has been a natural progression of the work I've done as a leader with a focus on building resilient teams and developing highly effective individuals who become amazing leaders themselves. I've been coaching individuals and teams for many years, it's always been one of my strengths as a leader.
After realizing that my passion was more about people and their potential vs. the companies I've worked for, I knew I needed to pursue leadership coaching as a full-time career, starting with getting certified as a leadership and life coach in early 2021. This has been a transformational journey for me, and I'm constantly spurred on by the transformation I'm witnessing in my clients every week. |
Facilitating and trainingI’ve been mentoring and training in the UX industry as a UX professional and as an instructor in the classroom, facilitating workshops with professionals, and mentoring up and coming designers and researchers. As my own career has progressed, I’ve become increasingly invested in helping the experience design field grow and mature through developing talent and evangelizing design thinking methodologies.
